Why vacation or take a holiday in Connecticut?

If one is looking for a touch of New England, some wildnerness experience, city life and more, Connecticut is within easy reach of most of the large population centers of the East coast and some of the Midwest.  It is the southern gateway to New England.

Connecticut is filled with rolling hills and mountains, charming villages, hiking and bicycling trails, and much more.

Hartford offers many historic buildings such as the Old State House, the Mark Twain home, and the New England Air Museum. While in Hartford plan a stop at the Wadsworth Atheneum Museum of Art.  You will find exhibits ranging from classic to contemporary art.

Mystic has the Mystic Aquarium and the unique Mystic Seaport There is a living history museum about coastal New England in the 19th century.

Down the coast is the city of New London, home of the United States Coast Guard Academy and its training ship, Eagle.

And if you like winter sports, then little else need be said.  From skiing to skating, you can find it.

This only skims the surface of what there is to do and see in Connecticut.
