When will the 2010 Academy Awards be held?
The 82nd Annual Academy Awards will be held on Sunday March 7, 2010 at the Kodak Theatre in Hollywood. Steve Martin and Alec Baldwin will be co-hosting the Oscars.
For the last few years the Academy Awards have taken place on the last Sunday in February. However in order to avoid conflicts with the February 28 closing ceremonies of the Winter Olympic Games in Vancouver BC, the Oscars have been moved to a later date.

82nd Annual Academy Awards presentation
The first Academy Awards ceremony was held on May 16, 1929, at the Hotel Roosevelt in Hollywood. It was hosted by Douglas Fairbanks and William C. deMille.
The eighty-first Academy Awards presentation took place at the Kodak Theater in Hollywood on February 22, 2009. It was hosted by the Australian actor Hugh Jackman.
