Why vacation in North Carolina?
Let’s see now, where could I find a living Cherokee Indian Village straight out of the 1700s, African-American art, dance and music displays, a Moravian village where costumed actors demonstrate the daily lives of colonial settlers and the largest annual gathering of Scottish clans in the world, including Scotland itself?
Why, I guess that would be North Carolina. You can experience it all in North Carolina. There are the bagpipes of the Grandfather Mountain Highland Games, the tradition of the Oconoluftee Indian Village in Cherokee, and historic stops along the Underground Railroad. And of course, there are mountains and beaches, rural quiet and the excitement of large cities. Begin with America’s most visited National Park, The Great Smoky Mountains, add two National Forests, and you will find everything from hiking to climbing to mountain biking and rafting. The Crystal Coast, Cape Fear Coast and Outer Banks are popular for those wanting a coastal getaway. The Cape Hatteras National Seashore offers recreation on the Outer Banks. The capital of Raleigh, as well as Durham, Charlotte and Chapel Hill, are major cultural centers, each offering an array of attractions. The natural beauty of North Carolina, mixed with man made wonders brings visitors back again and again.
North Carolina has new thrills, new nightlife, and even new theme parks, so it’s the perfect time to plan a new visit to NC. There’s always something new to see and do when you visit North Carolina
