Ferry over to the Toronto Islands, a peaceful green oasis with walking and cycling paths, beaches, gardens and picnic areas.

As a multicultural city, Toronto has authentic ethnic cuisine like no other city in North America. Toronto is remarkably safe even at night in most areas. Use common sense and you should have no trouble at all. But Toronto does have a large homeless population, many of whom will ask you for money. Ignore them or not, your choice.
Toronto’s climate is moderate for Canada because of its southern location within the country. Temperatures average -4 C (24 F) in January, and summer has an average high of 27 (80 F) and a low of 18 C (65 F) in July.
