Visitors are attracted to the Equality State by its National Parks and Wild West history. Wyoming is a state of ‘must sees.’  From the Devil’s Tower (of Close Encounters fame) to Old Faithful and Yellowstone National Park, the state is jam-packed with great natural attractions. Yellowstone became the first national park in 1872 when people the importance of preserving an area marked with mysterious bubbling ponds, geysers, deep canyons, cascading waterfalls and abundant wildlife. Grand Teton National Park was created 57 years later and is located directly south of Yellowstone. A great mountain range rising to 13,000 feet is its main feature. At Wyoming’s state parks, breathtaking scenery, wildlife and all sorts of recreational opportunities are found. In park lakes, visitors can swim, boat, wind surf, water ski and fish.

Wyoming also has its attractions for more urban type travelers too with cities such as Cheyenne, Casper and Laramie. Casper is Wyoming’s adventure center as no other destination in the state offers the same mix of outdoor recreational activities, culture, dining, sporting events, air service, lodging, history, and location.  Laramie offers much in the way of Western History and cowboys.  Wyoming is also a center for Winter sports with skiing, snowboarding, winter camping and much more.

Whether you love the great outdoors or a touch of city life, you will find them both in Wyoming.
